Intro
The Swig dress code policy exists to protect Team Members against harmful slipping, spilling, temperature exposure, etc. as well as keep the image of Swig professional. We have a pretty relaxed dress code for the most part, with a few restrictions.
It is the employee’s responsibility to keep their clothing clean and wrinkle free.
Avoid wearing clothes you don’t want to get dirty. It can be a messy job with sticky flavors, drinks, and lots of ice being dropped on the floor getting your feet wet.
If an employee is not in uniform, they must return home to change before beginning their shift. Wearing worn jeans, skirts, dresses, short shorts, sandals, or open-toed shoes are instances when an employee may be sent home to change.
Violations of the dress code policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Pants
Wear pants that are comfortable and durable. Minimal distressing is okay as long as it is below mid-thigh. Here are examples that are within our dress code, and examples of some that do not follow our policy. Any pants that appear unprofessional and may look like sweatpants or athletic wear is against dress code.

No dresses or skirts
No skirts or dresses are allowed to be worn on shift. They prevent you from being able to perform all job duties.

Shorts
Shorts worn at swig must be below mid-thigh. Mid-thigh is halfway between your hip bone and the top of your knee cap. Here are examples of shorts that are within our dress code and shorts that are not.

Shoes
Footwear must allow you to walk safely on our floors. Ask yourself the question “Are my shoes slippery” before going to work. If they are, change your shoes.

Shirts
Swig shirts must be worn while on shift. They must cover the entire midriff and not be cut/altered in any way. Below are examples of how you can and cannot wear the shirts. You can wear a hoodie underneath the shirts as long as there is nothing inappropriate on the sleeves/hood

Outerwear
Jackets may be worn as long as they are a plain color and zip or button up. The swig logo must still be visible by leaving it unzipped (unless you are line busting and the weather is horrible). Non-Swig hoodies may be worn as long as they are under your Swig shirt. No other obvious logos or brands should be visible on your outerwear. Small, subtly-colored logos are okay.
Hats
You may wear your own hats on shift as long as they are a plain color and do not have any inappropriate artwork or words on them.
Hair
Any hair longer than shoulder length has to be tied back, and not resting on the chest or shoulders. Below are examples of approved hair and not approved hair.

*If you look left to right and your hair touches your shoulders, it needs to be put up!

Accessories
Septum and face (lip, tongue, eyebrow) piercings are not permitted. Piercings that create excess skin must have flesh-colored plugs.
